According to Vietnam’s “Material Markets Price Report” recently reported: The Ministry of Industry and Trade recently proposed that the Ministry of Finance and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly approve the suspension of the environmental tax on plastic bags to ease the difficulties of the enterprises. The Ministry of Industry and Trade believes that the export results in the first three months of 2012 show that the imposition of environmental taxes on plastic bags is unreasonable and inconsistent, which brings great difficulties and obstacles to the company's exports and operations. In addition, the definition of the environmental tax imposed on plastic bags has not yet been clarified, and many companies are concerned about whether or not their products or raw materials belong to the scope of the levy.
