Delphi recently released an official message that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire media connectivity module provider Unwired Technology LLC (Unwired) to further enhance its data and media connectivity business. Just recently, Delphi acquired Antaya, a window connector supplier, and acquired Unwired. The two acquisitions significantly expanded Delphi’s product category, enabling the company to better meet customer needs in the rapidly growing automotive electronics connectivity business. “The demand for customers to connect mobile phones and tablet PCs to cars is growing. Car manufacturers quickly responded and media connectivity is now a high-growth market.†Rodney O, president and CEO of Delphi 'Neal) stated that "Unwired's products will expand our electrical architecture and electronic connector portfolio to support the growing number of electronic vehicle-mounted products." Delphi said that the acquisition will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year, the specific terms of the transaction It has not been announced yet.
