Mechanical industry product structure upgrade is progressing smoothly

Taking the adjustment of machine tool structure as an example: the numerical control rate of gold cutting machine tool output in January-May 2014 was 29.6%, which was 0.8 percentage points higher than 28.8% in 2013. The import growth of machine tool industry in January-May was 1.16%, but the export growth was 17.47%; the export value of metal processing machine tools increased by 12.27%, but the increase of CNC machine tools and machining centers was as high as 32.42% and 39.10% respectively.

Similar changes are also reflected in the automotive industry: in May, the output of new energy vehicles in the automotive industry increased by 98% year-on-year, much higher than the year-on-year increase of all vehicle production in the same period; although the new energy vehicles are still in the early stage of development, the total output is still relatively small. However, compared with the slow development in previous years, this year's new energy vehicles began to accelerate development.

Both the internal combustion engine and the AC motor production achieved double-digit growth in the first five months of 2014, which is closely related to the contribution of energy-efficient emission reduction technology to product upgrades and replacements.
