ZF builds truck transmission plant in Pune, India

ZF's transmission plant in Pune, India has been completed. The transmission plant is expected to produce 25,000 heavy truck transmissions per year in the medium term.

“In the early days, the factory operated a single shift, producing 1,000 transmissions per month. In the medium term, the factory will produce 25,000 ZF-Edomid nine-speed transmissions each year, and these transmissions can even be used for heavy trucks that exceed 40 tons,” said Mandeep Bhalla. “The factory can also produce other types of truck transmissions for current and new customers as needed. ZF’s current customers include Asia Motor Work, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, and Mahindra Navistar. , VolvoEicher and KamazVectra."

Currently ZF has invested Rs. 350 crore for the plant. ZF said that if necessary, the amount of investment can be increased to 750 million rupees to expand the scale of the plant.
