Spot rubber prices in Asia rose mostly on August 27th, supported by futures market rally and buying activity.

According to news from foreign ministry on August 27, spot rubber prices in Asia rose mostly on Friday (August 27), boosted by the rise in TOCOM rubber futures and active purchases in the spot market.

A trader in Singapore said that the market was actively trading as buyers worried that the price of TOCOM rubber futures exceeded 300 yen per kilogram and further increased. He also believes that there may be some short covering.
