Titanium to Li Yinlong Titanium Energy Storage Technology won the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award


Recently, Yinlong New Energy and the China Electric Power Research Institute and the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences collaborated on the development and storage of low-cost lithium titanate batteries for energy storage in the “Research and Development of Lithium Titanate Batteries and Energy Storage Systems for Energy Storage”. The system integration technology won the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Electric Power Research Institute.



Yinlong Titanium breaks new ground in energy storage

Yinlong Ti once again made substantive progress in energy storage. Yinlong New Energy cooperated with the China Electric Power Research Institute and the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2013, it jointly undertook the scientific and technological project of the State Grid Corporation of China for the development of lithium titanate batteries and energy storage systems for energy storage. This project aims at the characteristics of randomness, volatility, and interstitial characteristics of wind power and photovoltaic power generation, and conducts research on the demonstration of combined operation of multi-type energy storage systems including lithium titanate batteries and wind power and photovoltaic power generation.



In this project, Yinlong New Energy undertakes the development of low-cost lithium titanate materials suitable for energy storage applications, the development of lithium titanate batteries for energy storage, and the production of lithium titanate batteries for 1MW energy storage systems. In cooperation with the project team of the China Electric Power Academy, the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of the 1MW energy storage system is performed at the Zhangbei Energy Storage Experimental Base.


This project is based on Zhuhai Yinlong New Energy's existing lithium titanate technology platform and has developed lithium titanate batteries and lithium titanate batteries for energy storage applications featuring long life, high safety, and low cost. The system provides technical accumulation for the construction of large-scale long-life lithium-ion battery energy storage systems, and lays the technical foundation for the industrialization of long-life lithium-ion battery energy storage devices and the promotion of the use of new energy. It will be of positive significance to open a new page for energy storage.
