The first domestic ethylene ship arrived in Tianjin Port


On May 14th, China's first ethylene carrier "Pengshun" (loading capacity 6216, main engine power is 5920KW, total length 115 meters, type width 18.9 meters, type depth 10.6 meters) at the 5# berth of Fujian Union Petrochemical Terminal in Meizhou Bay After loading 3,500 tons of ethylene to Tianjin Port. This voyage was the first arrival of the round. After the berthing, the law enforcement officers of the Quanzhou Quangang Marine Department inspected the ship's ship-side checklist and other items, and inspected and tested the ship's related anti-fouling equipment.

It is understood that ethylene transportation is recognized as a “tip” business by the international shipping industry and must be transported under ultra-low temperature conditions of minus 103 °C. The "Pengshun" ethylene transport ship was officially put into operation in November 2010. The operation of this round filled the gap in the domestic ethylene transportation market, breaking the monopoly of foreign shipping companies on China's ethylene water trade and transportation, and promoting China's petrochemical industry. The development is extremely important.

The “Pengshun” wheel is a 8000 cubic meter ethylene ship. It is a semi-cold and semi-pressure type ethylene special transport ship owned by Shanghai Changshi Shipping Co., Ltd. The wheel has a deadweight of 6216, a main engine power of 5,920 KW, a total length of 115 meters, a width of 18.9 meters and a depth of 10.6 meters. Shanghai Changshi Shipping Co., Ltd. is the first shipping company specializing in ethylene transportation in China. It is jointly funded by Changhang Oil Transportation and Sinopec Chemical Sales Co., Ltd.
