Sales of heavy trucks rose by 128%. Sales of 107,000 vehicles dropped by 15% in the two months before JAC
On March 8, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. released the February 2017 production and sales bulletin. The Express Report showed that in February, JAC sold 46,238 vehicles and chassis of various types, a year-on-year decrease of 17.59%; and produced 45,444 vehicles and chassis of various types, a year-on-year decrease of 2.48%. In January-February, JAC accumulated a total of 106,928 vehicles and chassis, a year-on-year decrease of 14.71%; cumulative production of various types of vehicles and chassis 105,368 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 19.7%.
In the truck business segment, JAC sold 19,937 light trucks in February, an increase of 1.26% year-on-year; 1,268 vehicles were sold, an increase of 484.33% year-on-year; and 6,028 heavy trucks were sold, an increase of 97.64% year-on-year. From Jan. to Feb. 2017, JAC sold 40,593 light trucks, an increase of 17.74% year-on-year; 2,649 units of medium-sized trucks were sold, an increase of 132.98% year-on-year; and 12,225 heavy-duty trucks were sold, an increase of 127.53% year-on-year.
In terms of multi-functional commercial vehicles, in February, Jianghuai-Shenrui-European light passengers sold a total of 251 vehicles, an increase of 39.44% year-on-year. In January-February, Jianghuai Xingrui sold 400 vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 24.81%.
Jianghuai exported 6,054 vehicles in February, an increase of 87.6% year-on-year; January-January, JAC exported 13,754 vehicles, an increase of 140.03% year-on-year.
