Renault and Dongfeng set up a joint venture company, Dongfeng Renault, last year to accelerate the integration of Renault's sales channels and product channels in China. The new generation of landscape will be equipped with two gasoline engines of 1.2T and 1.6T, of which 1.2T will be divided into high and low power versions.



Last year, Renault made the final change to the third-generation landscape. The new generation of landscapes is expected to be launched at the Paris Motor Show this year and will be introduced into domestic sales next year. According to the updated rendering of Renault’s latest renderings revealed by overseas media, the new car adopts Renault's new design concept and the body lines are more rounded and plump. The two vents on the underside of the headlights are very prominent and also make the new car look more dynamic. A gradually rising waistline on the side of the body is as striking as the black rubbing strip running through the door. In the interior part, the center console replaced the traditional mechanical dashboard with a whole display screen, but the final production model may not adopt this configuration. In addition, the new car adopts the "2+3+2" seat layout, which has a strong practicality as a whole.

In terms of power, Renault's new generation of landscapes will be equipped with two-displacement gasoline engines of 1.2 liters and 1.6 liters. The 1.2-liter turbocharged engine includes two different high- and low-tuned versions. The high-power version has a maximum power of 96kw and the low-power version has a maximum power of 85kw. The maximum power of the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine is 118kw and the peak torque is 380Nm/1750rpm. Thanks to the twin-turbocharged design, the engine can output 90% of peak torque at 1500rpm.

In addition, this engine can maintain a small turbine force at low speeds, which can reduce the engine's hysteresis. At high speeds, the two turbines will work together to ensure continuous power output. It is worth mentioning that the 1.6T engine cited diamond carbon materials used in F1 racing cars to reduce running friction to increase engine life.

After Dongfeng Renault plans to introduce Capture, a small SUV model, in 2015, the product line will cover the A-class, B-class sedans, compact, medium- and large-scale SUVs and MPV markets. With Renault's gradual replacement of the world's leading models and the development of new market segments, Hu Dongdong, executive vice president of Dongfeng Renault, predicted that “Reynolds will have several imported and domestic models on the market each year.”
