Jilin Petrochemical and High Energy Consumption Equipment Say Goodbye

The replacement of No. 1 and No. 2 transformers in 441 substation of Jilin Petrochemical Fertilizer Plant was successfully completed at the end of February. At present, two new energy-saving transformers are operating normally. The fertilizer plant transformer replacement project is one of the “12th Five-Year Plan” key energy-saving transformation projects of Jilin Petrochemical Company, with a total investment of 7.2 million yuan. It was formally started on February 14 and will be completed and put into operation in June of this year. The project will replace all 15 old-fashioned high-energy transformers in 9 substations. These 15 transformers were all produced in the 1970s and 1980s. They have low insulation performance, poor heat dissipation, and high energy consumption. Long-term operation does not meet the national requirements for energy-saving and emission reduction, and it also poses a big hidden danger to the safety of enterprises. The new transformer after replacement has the characteristics of high voltage resistance, stable temperature reduction, and long material service life. While improving the performance of the equipment, the energy-saving effect is also very obvious. According to the person in charge of the energy conservation and consumption reduction project of the plant, after 15 new energy-saving transformers have been put into operation, they can save 2.97 million kwh of energy each year and achieve a profit of 1.65 million yuan.
