ArvinMeritor announced on May 5 that it plans to invest US$16 million to build a new technology center and production base in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The company said that the investment agreement was signed on April 29th. The new production site will occupy an area of ​​32,000 square meters and will have about 500 employees after production. ArvinMeritor's new technology center in Nanjing will develop powertrain products for commercial vehicles and non-road (industrial) vehicles for the Chinese market.
